Today I went out with my colleague and a couple of the students. We headed over to Qi Pu Lu, which is the fake market in Shanghai. Once upon a time I would have really enjoyed that place, but now I just find it annoying. This is partly because I don’t like shopping, and partly because I cannot stand all of the people that harass me (although, they were bugging my students a lot more than me, which I thought was interesting). I was just there to tag along…did not end up buying anything (Singaporeans find that strange, haha).
After shopping, we had some awesome Xiao Long Bao, and then headed over to meet someone near Nanjing Lu. On the way there, we got in an accident! After all of the crazy ass cab rides I have been in, after all the close calls, I finally got in an accident.
Our driver was a total idiot, and thought it was ok to turn into oncoming traffic. Both of the cars were going very slow, so no one was hurt (car was barely scratched). The two drivers got into a little shouting match, and then we drove off.

is driving easier in USA than Shanghai?
Well, I have not personally driven in Shanghai, but from what I have see, yes. It seems much easier to drive in the US!
