Language: China Scholar John DeFrancis
by maltzajava on February 3, 2009
This is a bit late, but I thought I would post about the recent death of sinologist John DeFrancis. I have read some great posts about him on some of the China blogs around the world. I am sad to admit that, although I was aware of his work, I have not read any of his books. After all the articles I have read, I think it is time for me to make a trip to the library.
If you are interested in learning more, there is a good article by David Moser on the China Beat.
